Founded in 2018 by Reverend Anitha Pamla, Answered Prayers Foundation is a purpose-driven non-profit organization committed to creating lasting change in communities across South Africa. What began as a vision to serve has grown into a powerful movement focused on restoring hope, dignity, and opportunity for those who need it most.

Through a range of transformative initiatives, we work to uplift and empower individuals at every stage of life. Our mission is rooted in action, supporting women through empowerment programs, standing firmly against gender-based violence, nurturing the potential of children and teenagers through education, caring for the elderly with compassion, and addressing hunger in vulnerable communities.

A Founder's Message

From Reverend Anitha Pamla

Welcome, and thank you for taking the time to visit Answered Prayers Foundation.

This organization was born from a deep calling placed on my heart, a calling to serve, uplift, and bring hope to communities facing hardship. In 2018, what began as a step of faith grew into a mission dedicated to restoring dignity and creating opportunities for women, children, families, and the elderly across South Africa.

My journey is not only one of faith, but also of personal healing and resilience. As a survivor of rape, I understand the deep pain, silence, and challenges that many carry. But I also know that healing is possible, that strength can rise from brokenness, and that no one should have to walk that journey alone. This experience has shaped my heart and strengthened my commitment to stand against gender-based violence, support survivors, and create safe spaces where voices are heard and lives are restored.

Through Answered Prayers Foundation, every project we run is rooted in compassion, purpose, and lived understanding. Whether we are empowering women, supporting survivors, mentoring young people, feeding those in need, or caring for our elders, our mission remains clear: to bring hope where it is needed most and to be a light in times of darkness.

I believe that every person who connects with this foundation becomes part of something greater, a shared vision of healing, empowerment, and lasting change.
